SYNOPSIS: A pastor’s daughter pretends to date her best friend—just as he meets his dream girl! Will it doom their friendship or bloom into romance?

· Synopsis: Pastor's daughter, Jess, is the de facto leader of the young singles at her church. She loves setting up mission trips and service projects with this group of friends—especially her roommate Rachel and bachelor Alex, who's always had a crush on her. But as couples start to pair off, Jess finds herself losing friends.
A whirlwind summer of weddings culminates with Rachel getting engaged to the dashing Samuel Summers, and Jess and Alex find themselves the last single people left at their church. Jess's dad, Pastor T, tries to help by setting Jess up with one guy after another, but this just aggravates Jess. To add insult to injury, Rachel and Sam's wedding displaces Jess's annual Christmas charity event, and everyone heads to the mountains for a destination wedding weekend.
On arrival at the mountain resort, Pastor T has another bachelor waiting for Jess—the super enthusiastic fitness freak Loren. Meanwhile, Alex hits it off right away with Samuel's sister Danielle. Before anything can develop though, Jess blurts out that she and Alex are dating in a desperate attempt to get her dad off her back. Tempted by his romantic tendencies and his long-standing feelings for Jess, Alex allows himself to be persuaded, but on the condition that they go “full RomCom.”
Alex schemes up a checklist of romantic movie tropes that Jess reluctantly agrees to reenact. Of course, they also have to keep up the ruse. When did they start dating? Why can't they kiss?
Jess's announcement throws the entire wedding party into a tizzy, as everyone roots for the new couple. It's not long before all the attention threatens to upstage Rachel's wedding. Worse, Jess and Alex's lifelong friendship seemingly makes them a perfect pair, and Rachel starts to question her relationship with Sam.
As the weekend plays out, the friends discover new feelings, relationships strain to the breaking point, and everyone gains new appreciation for the value—and the work required—of lasting relationships.
